You will need to make an appointment to land within Canada. It can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months to schedule these appointments. If you don't want to wait, you'll need to head down to a US / Canada land border, exit Canada and then reenter to land.

thanks, but I don't have visa to US, how could I exit canada (into US) and reenter canada?

You don't need US visa, just bring COPR to the US border, once they saw your COPR they will give you refusal letter so you can complete landing procedure at the Canada border.

would the refusal letter impact my future application to US?

There's no any issue with your future application. No worried.:)

firstly they dont impact as you can always mention the reason for refusal.. secondly i dont think ull need to make an application once you are a citizen .

Refusal letter can impact an application for US visas in the future. Canadian permanent residents still have to get a visa to go to US unless they are from a visa-exempt country.

Search this forum for information on "flagpoling" - basically, you leave Canada but do not enter the USA. When you arrive on the US side, you inform the border agents that you left Canada so that you could re-enter and land as a permanent resident, and you are not seeking entry to the USA. They give you an "administrative refusal" and allow you to turn around and go back to Canada. Administrative refusals do not have any impact on future visa applications.

Travel without PR card

I am waiting for CoPR which should be arriving in a few days. However for the landing, I live somewhat a bit far from the Canada/USA border and it may take more than a day for a returning road trip there. Besides, I already booked USA vacation in May.

Should I go ahead with landing immediately after CoPR, risking have no PR card nor valid BOWP by the time of my next month vacation (I guess my BOWP will be revoked after completing the landing), or should I wait until my vacation returning from USA to Canada for a more pleasant, non-rushed landing experience? Comments?

You are not able to return to Canada without PR card. Unless, you apply PRTD or you can use COPR and returning via Car from the US border. You can contact US embassy about PRTD processing time, could be best option.

All the best

Thanks. I figured as much. PR card processing time is 54 days now; this is a significant increase from the past, too. CIC never make anything easy.
I may as well wait until my vacation for landing, maybe I will postpone my vacation and get landed asap. Hard to make up my mind.

That is a false statement. Refusal Letter, because of "Flag Poling" won't affect any US visa applications in the future, whatsoever.

I phoned CIC and they told me that you just bring all your documents and proof of status. If you decide to leave the country and re-enter, just get a VISA., it's not too much of a deal. If you're for a visa except country, you need an ETA visa. This is very easy to get. You can get one online.

What you need to show the officer is:

passport,
copr,
previous permits,
proof of current status in Canada. In my case, I am on implied stunts, so I'll have to bring proof i applied for an extension of my BWOP if my appointment to the visa office is before they process my BOWP application.

here's the link to the cic page that sums up this info: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=748&top=22
