Able to link inland app to Gckey without AOR?

Hi there, Im a June 12 application and I didnt get AOR yet but I checked on ECAS my status is in process now. I was trying to link my application with my UCI and Family name and it worked. Im wondering if it is ok to link without AOR or I should wait for AOR first then link the application? Thank you for your help !

You can link it now. I was able to link my application before my sponsor received AOR. It is totally fine.

thanks for your reply. do you think there is any chance my app will get returned if I was able to link my app? Also I have a question about OPW, how do we know if OWP is accepted or returned? cause I couldn't link my owp along with my app. Thank you !

No, you app will not be returned as long as you can link it. After linking it, you will see your application number and your UCI. I am an Outland applicant, so I can’t help about OWP.

You can link the OWP application, but it can take a week between being able to link PR for the OWP to kick in (they forward it to Vegreville from Missisauga).
Keep trying to link your OWP each day using your UCI and select that you were sponsored, it should go through in a few days.

May i know how you linked it without application number or UCI number?
