Hello Community..
Filling Form IMM5669...
About government positions or working for government...
I worked for a government company, not in my home country but abroad. My responsibilities were purely linguistic (translation); providing translation of documents, reports, correspondence, etc. I did not hold any government position, nor did I possess any political authority, security clearance or decision-making power.
In light of the above, should this still be considered as a government position?
Should I fill the section related to government positions? Should I fill the other form and provide CV/resume?
Initially, when I submitted my PR application, I did not mention this, because I was 100% sure that this job (as translator) is purely administrative.
However, after I received the email from IRCC yesterday.. I started to re-think about it...
=================
Another question about military service: In my home country, there was conscription for males. However, I left my home country before doing any military service. Should I mention this to IRCC under the military section of this form IMM 5669?
When I initially submitted my PR application, I put (NONE) in the military section. However, I did not provide any explanation about that I did not have any conscription nor any military service at all.
==============
If I initially did the right thing and I don't have to re-submit this form, do you think that it is necessary to provide the above clarification in a letter of explanation?
I don't want any ambiguity. I don't want to find myself in any position of suspected misrepresentation..
Please advise. Thank you!
