A minimum of 2 years out of 5

Hi,
If person gets PR how strict is it to live in Canada for a minimum of 2 years out of 5. Let us say if person has a chance to study or work in the US and stays less than 2 years in Canada is it very serious or it can be possible to provide proves that you studied or worked in the US.

Studying or working in the US doesn't make you exempt from the residency requirement. The US is a different country than Canada (no different than any other country in the world). You need to meet the 2 out of 5 year residency requirement if you want to ensure you can retain your PR status.
