DO NOT FORGET CHRIS ALEXANDER'S WIFE IS FRENCH... I think he is biased
If you are going to be offensive & rude, get your facts straight.

While Chris Alexander's wife is completely irrelevant to the topic, I should like to point out that she is a Danish-born Canadian.

I agree with you niravk,

Disclaimer : my answer below is just a speculation based on numbers available on the spreadsheet. Please don't attack me if you dont agree :)

Like test sampling in statistics, if we consider the spreadsheet as a small sample of all the people applying for EE,
we might be able to analyse the situation :

06 % people are above 600,
01% people are between 500 to 599
12% people are between 450 to 499
23% people are between 400 to 449
37% people are between 350 to 399
21% people are between 300 to 349

So people between 400 to 600 are around 36%.
while 58 % are below 400.

Now if we go by the official statement of CIC,

The 2015 immigration plan unveiled by the government of Canada last week sets a target of between 260,000 and 285,000 new permanent residents next year,
an increase of about 20,000 people from the goal for 2014.

Even if we consider around 200,000 are selected from earlier applications (backlog and other methods of immigration ), still 85000 people required this year will be selected from EE.
So out of these, 30,600 people should be from the range 400 - 600, and around 50,000 should be from the 300 - 400 range.

So far, 9852 candidates have received ITA. Still 75,000 required this year based on the assumption above.

TLDR, don't lose hope, try and increase the CRS and wait ;)

Positive - Atleast the draw is over and now we can plan of the future accordingly.
Negative - now canadian dream looks very bleak.

ATLEAST WE TRIED. THAT'S THE BEST WE CAN DO..

Exactly. They are not bound by this announcement.

Besides, it escapes me why people are so obsessed with the number of draws. The number of draws is irrelevant.

The only thing that matters is the total number of ITAs required to reach the immigration targets.

Whether they break this up in many draws with fewer ITAs or fewer draws with more ITAs doesn't make any difference to the vast majority of candidates in the pool.
Exactly! Excellent post, as usual, Dan_and. Thank you.

This was a test that i did after seeing the results of 9th draw..Tried this on CIC's CRS calculator

Say a person who got 755 points means 155 points apart from 600 points of LMAI or PNP.

Marital Status : married
Common Law Partner : Non-Canadian

Spouse coming with you : Yes

Age you got ITA : 45 years or more

Highest level of education :

One year program at a university/trade school

Official Languages :

6 as Ielts Band

Second language : N/A

Canadian Experience : None

Foreign Skilled Experience : 1 Year

Canadian Education : No

Job supported by LMIA : NO [THIS HAD TO BE CANCELLED JUST TO CHECK FOR THIS EXPERIMENT]

Nomination from province or territory : No

Highest Level of spouse education : Secondary Diploma

Spouse's skilled experience : None

Spouse's Ielts Band : 6

And this fetches 195 points

Now someone who got LMIA or PNP with this comes to 600+195 = 795 means qualified in this draw.

Congrats to those who got invited. I didnt mean to disrespect anyone..just for utter curiosity wanted to check how can someone get a low score of 155..unfortunately i couldnt. ::)

I feel CIC r being racist... they r just giving itas to people from Europe who usually have lmia approved job or pnp... there is no hope... CIC's EE is a slap on fair immigration system
It is very very wrong to play the race card when things don't go your way, please resist from attitudes like this. The EE profile did not even ask for ethnic origin. It is one of the fairest immigration system in the world. Please stop promoting hatred. Btw, if you wondered, I'm Black and non-European.

I'm still hopeful, nobody thought that the cut off score drops from 735 to 481!
Do you remember that draw night? This forum was full of hope on that time.
Stay positive people,I don't know why we are so impatient now, this process was so longer in the past but we were more calm!

Hi .. what is likely to be the scene now post draw #9 ..
It is clear now , without having a offer ( which gives straight 600 ) , none just cant make through under EEP..
One of the core feature of EEP was that , one need not apply separately for PNP as any province can pick up from the Pool .. but that seems to be not working ??
So it means in real terms , no hope for anyone without a job offer ..
Any more views ??

The assumption has some mistake - you have nt taken into consideration that EE entries are on continuing basis .. so there are fresh applications are coming at a regular interval in the pool and thereby the matrix would change ..hence the probability of people with less than 450 score ..Thats my gut feeling .

Can someone clarify something about the targeted number of accepted applications by EE for this year?

Some say it's 25,000, but apparently, based on 2014 data, CIC accepted 142,400 applicants through FSW, CEC, FST and PNP!!

So what is the correct answer???

It doesnt even matter what the target is please. They set the target, but they dont have to and never have to reach it -- this has been discussed before in the forum.

ok I shouldn't have used the word "target"...

but what's the approximate size then? somewhere around 25,000 or around 150,000? That's a huge difference, and it changes everything!!
