8 years processing time for Federal Self Employment Process?

I met the requirements for the self employment program but, when i check the processing time it shows 8 years!? Has anyone applied under that program recently?

The federal self employment stream has the longest processing time of any immigration class. If you can, pick a different immigration stream.

Just to add - there's also no bridging open work permit available if you apply under this immigration stream. So yet one more reason to chose a different way to immigrate.

Yeah i know, i am preparing for express entry, but as i met all the requirements, i am interested to know from first hand someone who has did it. Especially for the processing time.

realistically not sure anyone is likely to hang around on this forum for 8 years as opposed to looking for a quicker route. Seems obvious that CIC set 8 years deliberately to discourage this route.
