Hello, my wife receive a letter from the canadian visa office in manila(she is a filipina) and she has 45 days to send documents. But we have a problem with one, we will receive this document after the 45 days. Is it possible to write a note to the visa office then we will send this document the day we will receive? Will they give more delay or not? if not, must we complete again all requirments forms for her immigration?

Submit everything you can and include proof that you have requested the document that you cannot obtain in time and some kind of indication of when it will be available (for example, if it's a police clearance, submit a copy of your paperwork requesting the police clearance and a print out or copy of the document saying how long it takes to obtain the certificate)

Generally speaking it sounds like they are accommodating of these issues and will give you extra time.

I agree - during the reprocessing of our appealed application, I was given 90 days to submit an new medical, and an FBI clearance from the US - but it was taking about 90 days to get an FBI back and I still needed time to get the fingerprints done, etc., So I just got my medical done, faxed proof of that to the processing office, and wrote them that I had ordered the FBI and anticipated a three months wait. I didn't include proof that I had requested the FBI - just wrote on a fax cover letter that I had.

At the end of the 90 days, when they still hadn't received my FBI, they just sent me another written request for it - and gave me another 45 days to submit it. By then I had just received it - so forwarded it on to them with the original proof of my medical exam and everything was fine.

thank you so much, i will use this way and write a letter to the canadian visa office then we are waiting to obtain the certificate we must send. I will send this letter with all the requirments we can give on time. I hope they will be open about our situation.
