Serves as the first point of contact for public regarding Center for Continuing Education programs and services
Greets, assists and/or direct students, visitors and the general public
Receives, directs and relays telephone messages and fax messages
Responds to queries from university community members or general public or refers to appropriate staff member
Picks up and delivers the mail
Opens and date stamps all general correspondence
Maintains the general filing system and files all correspondence
Makes preparations for Center for Continuing Education and committee meetings
Provides word-processing and secretarial support
Maintains student database
Registers students in the Banner system
Delivers bilingual (English and Arabic) programmatic information and services, as well as registration
support to a wide range of public clients
Provides information to and processes registrations from the general public, and current and returning Center for Continuing Education students.
Advises students regarding program/course appropriateness, availability, and registration, billing and payment options; in-person, over the telephone, by fax and via email
Ensures that contacts are accurately tracked and followed up in a timely and effective manner with information provided being accurate and appropriate
Plays an integral role in the success of Center for Continuing Education sales and marketing processes by contacting and responding effectively to potential, current and past students and clients in order to generate course registrations
Supports and assists Center for Continuing Education participation in events such as information nights, open houses, trade shows and education fairs
Participates in activities associated with the promotion of the University and Center for Continuing Education
Performs other related to filing and administration as assigned
