Oh really? and do you know how many people pay for LMIA? or for 'canadian experience' reference letters?
For you to know, foreigners do not only send reference letters, they often bring tax declarations, references from pension savings funds, moreover, their employers are called to verify the reference. Do you know that in former USSR countries there's a special document (official one!) where all jobs are tracked from the very beginning? Lots of official documents.
Have you seen how many rejections due to non-appropriate references are made?
So please don't consider yourself as a poor thing and foreigners as cheaters.

You are attacking a straw man.

I've never claimed I'm a "poor thing" or "all foreigners are cheaters" - these are your own words. I've also never mentioned any specific countries that have a lot of cheaters. However, I do know some countries (and my own country) where you can obtain virtually anything you want as long as you have money and know the right people, so the so called "lots of official documents" doesn't mean anything at all.

In addition, not everything needs to be faked. You can ask your cousin or some close friends to open up a business, then ask them to give you all the legit documents to prove, let's say "Senior Accountant", while you actually work as a cashier in a gas station down the road.

We can all agree if someone was to fake all of this - he must be good! Good enough to actually land a decent job. I also accept that people all around the world fake a lot of things - but I would say in the immigration process, specially from India it is very tough to fake it.

I don't know about other countries but in India its mandatory to have a tax return and a PF - you simply cannot fake it. And generally people would use PF for PoF and Tax Returns to prove employment. Can't fake that.

Don't you think that person working as a gas station cashier can barely boast of the decent education or high level of English required for immigration?
Or that getting 'Senior accountant' position means relevant education and some previous experience which takes more than a year or two? Which is definitely considered by VO. And 'walking and asking a friend to open up a business' requires that business should be at least one year old for you to be considered a a one year long employee, which does not really brings many points.

What I wanna to say by all this arguing with you (not you personally but the people in the forum) - please stop blaming anyone (CIC is not transparent enough, why foreigners are priveleged in some cases, people are cheating, etc).

Well said. The waiting game takes a toll on anyone so I would understand if people would vent their frustrations here.

That being said though, forums are built to help communities...to support each other and cheer people up (regardless of the situation). Negativity is infectious so hopefully we keep this positive and hopeful vibe for all hehe

Jokes and criticism apart , can someone guess the score for today's draw. :-*

I am at 468 whether in or out again ? :P

Yeah, one can't know for sure without doing a principled analysis using historical data. However, the choice of a normal distribution seems pretty reasonable

I would think the normal distribution would not be apt. Please understand that many with low scores would opti out on their own. This might make it a Gamma distribution in my book

Ok, my 2 cents (though useless ;D)
800 ITAs, 480

where do we get the latest news regarding the draw.

like what site updates it first.

Yeah, I agree that the leftmost gaussian (CRS < 600 ) has a positive skew (http://www.itl.nist.gov/div898/handbook/eda/section3/eda35b.htm) ; however we can agree that the righmost gaussian (CRS > 600) is likely to have a proper normal distribution since all of them get selected anyway.
