hi all,

http://www.cno.org/en/become-a-nurse/new-applicants/international/expectations-of-registered-nurses-and-registered-practical-nurses/

In Ontario, all RN applicants require a baccalaureate degree from an approved Ontario nursing program or an equivalent in order to register. All RPN applicants must have a diploma from an approved Ontario practical nursing program or an equivalent.

IS THIS TRUE
i have 3 year diploma/certificate with lots lots of practical hours and more than 7years experience in a ICU and Cardeothoracic theaters,

so i cant apply under registered nursing category???

I am a Nurse with BSDegree from Iran. awaiting for PPR. and already applied for assessment in CNO, they call it Application for registration in general classes, in which you will ask also your school to forward your degree and transcripts . they dont want IELTS at this stage. and it takes up to 12 months, then they send you a letter to say if you are eligible for CRNE, Bridging program,Not eligible at all, further documents and form, or other suggestions.
I sent my application November 15 ad expecting to hear from them in February.
the good thing with CNO is IELTS, the told me General IELTS is also accepted!!!!.

You can't under the RN category. Bachelors degree is needed in Canada for one to be able to apply and register under the RN category.

This is for RN.

You only write this if the CNO finds your credential to be not completely the same as theirs after they have assessed your paper. They ask some applicants to write this in order to establish if they have the needed skills and knowledge at par with the Canadian graduate nurses. After you fill this out, they will review your answers and decide whether you will be allowed to take the CRNE exam or not. If not, they might ask you to take a bridging program or might suggest to you to just register as an LPN.
