Hi guys,

Regarding this...

To ensure the timely processing of your application, the document(s) and information we have requested must be provided to us within THIRTY (30) days of the date of this letter.

Who among you have experienced not being able to send the docs within 30 days? Was it bad? How did it turn out?

I only have one document I need which is the "Marriage search results of my mysponsor from Vital Statistics Canada" but she will not be able to get it in time because she is currently not in the city. She will be back after 2 weeks and processing of that document in canada she said will take 10 days. So, we will definitely wont be able to comply with the 30 day period.

She told me to submit all we have within 30 days and make a letter that we will send the remaining document later.
Will that be alright?

Or would you suggest submitting them all at once but over 30 days?

Thanks

The usual rule of thumb is that if you must miss a deadline, you should submit what you have on-time along with an explanation of the delay for the remainder. This has happened frequently for US applicants who face very long waits for their criminal background checks.

If you let the deadline go by without so much as a word, then a CIC agent having a bad day might have sufficient reason to think that you've abandoned the application.

Okay, yeah thats what we're going to do. Send what we have available on time along with a letter about the missing doc.

Re: How many pics?

We had the same dilemma and couldn't get any two corroborating responses here. We sent in 8.

Yeah and the pics are also not included on the document list that they are requesting like passport, cenomar etc...
I can go ahead and send pics again like the one that we sent during the application, no problem with that.. but I dont know how many ;D
Ill try sending 10 pieces just to be safe :D

Interestingly on another thread someone just posted a letter from Manila requesting only two photos each. (Parental sponsorship with dependents.)

I received passport request from Manila office two weeks ago and they requested me to submit 2 photographs. following is the excerpt:

Two (2) recent photographs each of yourself and every family member who will accompany you to Canada.

I am still waiting for the return of my PPT along with COPR. Any idea how long they will take to return my passport?
