I've a question about my work experience, I have 6 years work experience (3 years in one NOC, 3 years in another NOC), my friend told me before, if your work experience is Non-Canadian Work Experience, 3 years is enough, no more points I can get beyond 3 years work experience.

I'm sure in CRS assessment (full score is 1200), 3 years work experience and 6 years work experience will get the same point.

but in EE assessment (full score is 100, 67 will pass), according to the official page, you'll get 15 points if you have 6 years work experience, but you'll only get 11 points when you only have 3 years work experience.

I really don't want to prepare useless material, so if 3 years is enough, I will not go back to my previous employer to ask for reference letter. But if 6 years really help to get higher points, I may do so.

So my question is:

Should I prove I have 6 years work experience? or 3 years is enough, I will get the same point on EE assessment, no matter I have 3 years work experience or 6 years experience.

Thank you!

As you understood, 3 years is enough for max points in CRS, but only 11 points in FSW eligibility points instead of a maximum of 15.
Bottom line, If you are at or above 67 points, you can settle at 3 years only. Just make sure your employment documents are spot on!

The additional 3 years will only give you 4 more eligibility points, but no CRS points.

So it all depends on how many eligibility points you have now.
