Hi all,
I got ITA, and I'm now struggling to gather all the documents, particularly for the reference letters as proof of my foreign work experience.
Your advice would be a great help.

For your information, I had worked in company A, B, C, and D outside of Canada, same profession category, NOC B.
  • Company A: 6 months
  • Company B: 1.5 months
  • Company C: 7 months
  • Company D: Self-employment, 20 months.
I already have a reference letter from company A and B.
However, the owner of company C recently replied to me that she can't write me a reference letter. She said she can't confirm my work log since they don't have the paperwork at the office now.

My first question is this:
  1. What could be the ways to convince her to issue a letter for me? I'm planning to send my payslips to remind her about my experience at her facility. Do you have any suggestions to share?
Additionally, I initially wanted to avoid uploading files for company D (Self-employment) because I didn't have many clients at that time. I only had 2 clients. Also, I closed my business 5 years ago, so it can be challenging to collect 3rd person confirmation letters from them.

2. Can anyone tell if I can get a reference letter from someone else? Like my accounting advisor at that time? I didn't have any co-workers but I used to work a lot with my client's employees. Can their letter help? Also, how many letters from 3rd parties would be a safe number?

My last question is about my IELTS score.
I'm going to retake IELTS test if I can't get reference letters for company C & D. Because that would mean that I won't be able to prove the minimum work experience of 1 year outside of Canada and lose my points.

3. Would my final CRS score at the moment of final submission within 60 days be re-calculated If I can get a higher score in IELTS section? This is crucial to me because I'll have to find a way to make up for the lost points. For example, my IELTS score on profile is 8/8/6.5/6.5 right now. According to CRS calculator, I can gain some more points if I get 8777 from IELTS. Would this new IELTS score will help me? or the immigration officer would be decline since the test is taken after receiving ITA?

Thanks for reading this long thread, and I hope you would share some insight with me.
