My current H1B visa expires in Aug 2022. First H1B was from Aug 2016 - Aug2019. I travelled outside the country only in Jan 2019, got a 221g, got cleared after 6 weeks. My background is chemical / materials engineering. Came back to the USA April 2019 and renewed my H1B for another 3 years till Aug 2022. The stamp in my passport was till Aug 2019 and has expired. I have a conference coming up in Canada
1. It is advisable to travel and get the visa stamped in Vancouver / Toronto?
2. I am not able to find any dates in this website. https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ca/niv. Is this normal? i am traveling only in first week of May
3. If you don't recommend getting stamped in Canada, will automatic visa revalidation apply for me? Is there a procedure to apply for it? I filled out the DS160 but haven't submitted it yet. Is it true that once you apply for a visa in a US consulate in Canada, you cannot use AVR?
