Today, June 11, I got my Application number starts with XG

I also got my Temporary Application number few minutes ago. I submitted my application April 02

Thanx for sharing. Did you submit thru the lawyer. I submitted on my own in April. Lawyer was asking for $4500. It appears that those that dont have lawyers can have temporary numbers and it wont show on the PR portal

woow $4500 is way too much for lawyer fees. Usually the fees between $500 to $700 per applicant for protected person PR application.
Anyways, you cant link temporary number as yet to the PR Portal as mentioned in the same letter that the number XG just temporary and you need to wait for permanent number to able to link it.

it took me less than an hour to fill out and submit my pr application, why do you need a lawyer when application is pretty straight forward.
Applied in August 2024 and I have my PR card already.

That is extremely fast. Your timing lines up perfectly to take advantage of the 1 time policy. By 2026 application times may be longer.

Every applicant gets a temporary number.

Temporary numbers are automated i believe . Everybody gets their temporary number before any IRCC agent knows your application ever exists on the portal . They are generated automatically after one or half month , real thing is AOR . When you recieve AOR, It means Agent have look into your forms and confirmed your application is complete .

Right now i believe only the 2025 July applicants and before have recieved AOR . Anyone applied after are still on queue and havent verified complete application by agent . So its gonna be long wait for 2026 applicants

We have to wait and see what happens but believe the 2026 applicants will see longer processing times than 2024/25 because 1 time policy will have met its quota.
