Hi All,

Can we please post our 2026 PR applications timeline here .
The other timelines are for previous years, so that doesn't help us who are recent applicants.

Thanks,

This thread is for 2026 PR applications from Protected Persons who have already received their Notice of Decision (NOD) and are now applying for Permanent Residence (PR).

I noticed that one thread labeled as “2026 applications” are actually for 2025 applicants. Let’s use this thread to gather everyone applying for PR in 2026 and onward. Thanks!

I applied for Permanent Resident first week march 2026 , nothing yet do you guys know when ill receive or look forward to AOR ?

It could be between 2 to 3 months to get AOR
Realistically, and based on my experience as a 2026 applicant, I applied on January 15 and it took about 2.5 months to receive a temporary XG number.
Based on the discussions from 2025 applicants thread , most people are reporting around 7–8 months to receive the AOR.

Yes, but don't forget that 2026 and 2027 have one-time special initiative to speed up the process for protected person PR applications, and you was within time frame to get it within 2.5 months

That wouldn’t impact time to AOR. The one time policy only just started so shouldn’t have major impact on 2026 applications. Will have an impact on overall processing time at least for those who are already in the queue but the processing times will likely increase again after due to the volume of protected people and refugees.

Possible but uncertain, 2026 application may likely be faster than older cases (2023–2024)

You’re right there will be a certain group of protected people and refugees that will hit a sweet spot and get processed faster than the previous years before processing times start increasing again. Time to receive AOR has very little to do with overall processing time.
