Based on backlogs and targets they are a lot more realistic than previous posted processing times.

the processing time is reflecting backlogs so upon checking recent data those number is quite accurate , GOV. never published false inventory !

I am Convention Refugees and I submitted my application on October 8, 2025. How long will it take to receive the AOR?
After receiving the AOR, how long does it usually take to get a fingerprint request if it’s required?
I live in Calgary.

Many months. This is going to be an extremely long process so I would not worry too much about timeline for things like AOR. There will be years during the process where nothing will happen yo your file. Would focus on establishing your life in Canada.

We have a family application and only my daughter was approved, can she add others in her pr application?

Many months. This is going to be an extremely long process so I would not worry too much about timeline for things like AOR. There will be years during the process where nothing will happen yo your file. Would focus on establishing your life in Canada.

Mine was submitted in march still no update on acknowledgment letter just an email with letter received with confirmation of receipt for applications. Not sure if it was AOR. Not sure about next steps and just stressed about whole process and confusion of what’s next.

They are AI projections based on volume of applicants and current allocated quotas. They aren’t set in stone but are much more realistic than what was previously posted.

She can only add a spouse/common-law partner and any of her dependent children.

My lawyer said she can include her other family members in her pr as long as they are considered part of the same nuclear family and were included in the original asylum claim.

Don’t believe that is correct but I am not an immigration lawyer. They would need to list their family members in their application. You may want to ask for clarification and proof that this is possible. How old is the child?
