Just got my prearrival letter this morning, a positive step in the right direction. hoping to received medical request soon
I, the primary applicant in Canada, submitted my overseas wife's and children (under 18) application along with mine in August 2024. Me and my wife received email confirmations in November 2024 stating that our applications had been received. I received a biometric request in December 2024. Recently, in May 2025, my wife received a checklist requesting additional documents, including proof or relationship, generic forms, copies of passports, proof of biometric fee payment etc.
Some of the documents listed in the checklist were already submitted with my initial application. Is this normal process? Am I required to resubmit those documents? If so, should the be submitted via webform? Do I have to submit the IMM 0008 Generic Application Form for my children as well?

Hi, I applied for PR in March 2025 and on May 24th I received a letter with the following title: PP Submission Confirmation Letter XG0007*****. Do you think it is the notice of receipt or something different.
Our timeline is exactly the same. My dependents were sent same checklist . There is a part of the checklist that says ‘tick if you have already submitted the forms and only updating the checklist bla bla’ i just ticked and submitted the forms not in the initial application. Waiting for whats next
That is NOT the AOR. I also got same. It is just a temporary tracking number. I got same message after I called IRCC.
You don’t need to call IRCC or contact anyone for your application number. First, they will send you a temporary application number (starting with "XG", like XG1234567890). After a few days, they will send you your permanent application number, which is the same as the XG number but without the "X"—for example, G1234567890.
You can only link your PR application to your GCKey account once you receive the permanent application number (the one starting with "G").
Until you link your application to GCKey, you won’t be able to check your status online.
If you applied for PR through a lawyer, the lawyer will receive the application number by email. You need to ask them for the number and let them know that you plan to link the application to your own GCKey account.
