So I have been checking the following site for in person citizenship ceremonies in Winnipeg, MB:

I started checking like end of Jan. Every Tuesday and Wednesday there are 2 ceremonies held each day. The current shows ceremonies planned until the 17th and 18th of Feb. Only one of all these were in French since I have been looking. Yet I still haven't heard anything after LPP complete since 8th of Jan. I wonder how many people are before me in MB for Citizenship ceremony lol.

Oath Ceremony Date - 29th January 2026 (I haven't received the email yet tho. reg virtual or in-person and timings. It might take some time to get the detailed information)

Attended my in-person Oath ceremony on January 29 in Ottawa and received the physical copy of my citizenship certificate the same day. I applied for an urgent passport the following morning (January 30 around 8:40 a.m in Toronto) (Clerk at the Oath ceremony updated my information into the relevant portal for passport office to verify info (vs 48 hours lead time to update in the system in general) when i told them i need to opt for Urgent passport service) , as my company had transferred me to the U.S. a few months ago and I needed to fly back for work asap. I received my passport the same day at around 12:30 p.m. (pickup).

Overall, it was a great experience—despite the severe wind chills and standing in line for a token at the passport office in -32°C . But hey, I guess that’s what turns it into a core memory I’ll never forget!

Online, it contains all the zoom meeting info and paperwork to be signed, and only did it online because I read that it would take longer to do it in person, otherwise sounds like it would be a cool experience
