Hi, can you pls let me know how to activate tracker?

Interestingly enough, today I received the paper certificate NOT the e-certificate which I requested, I never received any link. The certificate itself is printed on a mass-produced paper which is why the print quality isnt good. But I'm not that bothered.

Might be better for others (if they can) to request e-certificate instead and print it on a higher quality paper in colour.

So that's 4 days after your ceremony correct?

I called IRCC this morning, and was informed that I could request a link to download the E-Cert right on the day of the Ceremony.

I've got some travel plans and wanted to have a passport issued asap, for which i was given Passport Canada's hotline number.

They informed me it will likely take 2 business days because some back end work needs to be done prior to the E-Cert download link being issued

Since my Ceremony is on the 8th, (Thursday) the earliest likely date of E-cert issuance is the 12th - a Monday. After that another 10 business days for the PP.

Hope this helps others in my situation!

So today onwards we shouldn't expect any activity until after new years then? I gave my test on the Dec19th, waiting to be updated and marked complete on tracker.

There’s still no update on BG. Should I expect a longer-than-usual wait, or is this still within normal processing time when compared to other applications? Should I contact IRCC or continue waiting?

Maybe it means background done because thats what happened with me. Got ghost update on 19th then background done on 23rd but shown on tracker today the 25th. Or it can be LPP done for you, you never know different people have different stages of completion. I wouldn’t worry.

From what I understand, after looking various applications timelines, the background check is often your worst enemy. If it is not cleared within a few weeks after your application has been accepted, you are in for a treat. One of the areas where IRCC should give better visibility to applicants is the "background check"

True. The IRCC agent told me the FP part of my BG is complete but others are pending. Meaning, my file is likely with CSIS for a comprehensive check. At this point, the progress will depend on when CSIS finishes their check. I need to stop checking my tracker everyday

Hey Calmsiuu7, I feel like we are in the same boat. Can you tell at what time and how did you reach IRCC and I can try my luck checking with them.
