I’m in touch with a few people who are in the same situation as us, and none of them have received any updates since they uploaded their documents. I uploaded mine on June 17.

You know what’s funny? I received my GCMS notes and it says security not started!! So if it’s not started, why did you ask for the military history?! What a circus

I have seen this trend, usually it shows security not started and the next day its complete. Their updates are not in real time.

GCMS notes it not a true reflection of what is happening. I have already received P2 and my gcms notes I received yesterday says security not started. Don't let that bother you

Just got my ECOPR today at 9:30 AM .
2.5 years journey ended. God is always good!
2023 - Applied for asylum
2023 - hearing ( took 8 months for hearing)
2023 - positive hearing.

2026
July 14th- FD
July 15th - P1
July 24 - p2
August 5th - ECOPR.

It was a stressful journey of more than 3 years but I thank God that the wait is over. I hope you’ll get yours very soon!

Congrats to everyone who have gotten their ECOPR. It looks like once we get our ECOPR our work permit documents become invalid. Just logged on GC key now to check on my work permit status. It says the document is invalid now. I have however updated my new SIN with employer.

Hi , I called the agent and she repeatedly said the officer is reviewing the file and the additional documnets however the telephone auto response says we have received your additional documents and does not mention about review. Any thoughts / comments on it pls ?

Hi everyone,

I applied in June 2023, and my security/background check started in May 2026. I still haven’t had any updates.
Does anyone know how long the security check usually takes? I feel like I’m one of the last June 2023 applicants still waiting.
Any insight would be really appreciated. This has been very stressful.
