Im September 2023 application,on 17 june I submitted Military service exemption after that, until today, nothing happened

everytime when i call they only said security is not started yet ,
i’m exhausted.
It’s really frustrating.
I honestly don’t think I can handle this anymore.
I find myself crying all the time.
I truly feel like I’m losing my mental well being because of this long and painful process.

Hello everyone,

I would appreciate your opinion on my Protected Person PR application. I’m trying to find anyone with a similar GCMS timeline.

Timeline:
  • Protected Person PR application: September 2023
  • Primary office: CPC Mississauga
  • Secondary office: Montreal
  • New biometrics requested in July 2026 and completed the next day.
Latest GCMS / CBSA notes (late July 2026):
  • Eligibility: Passed
  • Criminality: Passed (Bio)
  • Medical: Passed – Exempt
  • Info Sharing: In Progress
  • Security: Officer note says “In Progress” (although the assessment summary still shows “Not Started”)
  • Processing Assessment: Non-Complex
  • BF Date: 15 August 2026
  • No additional document requests (police certificate, military record, etc.) after biometrics.
  • No Review Required or other visible concerns in my notes.
Questions:
  1. Has anyone had a similar GCMS profile?
  2. How long after a Non-Complex Processing Assessment did you receive Portal 1 (P1)?
  3. If your file was processed by CPC Mississauga with Montreal as the secondary office, how long did it take after security/info sharing?
Thank you in advance.

Stay strong and wait a bit more I am sure good news is on the way. They are wrapping things up and hopefully by the end of this year most people will have their final decisions.

I got a question about a new biometric request did they mention why they want to get new biometric? and is your previous barometric fingerprint quality section appeared as a 'poor'? and some finger exceptions GCMS note?

No. My GCMS notes don’t mention poor fingerprint quality or any finger exceptions. They don’t explain why new biometrics were requested. I completed the new biometrics the next day, and after that my Criminality changed to Passed.

May I ask why you asked about fingerprint quality? Did you have a similar biometric request or a similar GCMS timeline?

Because in my GCMS note, it showed that my fingerprint quality is poor and there are seven finger exceptions without a reason.
I have tried to reach out to them many times, and I talked with my MP to ask them if they need new biometric, but they said we don’t want anything right now. If we need anything, we will let you know.

And no, our timelines are different because I’m a January 4, 2024 applicant.

Thank you for sharing. May I ask what is your current application status? Did you receive a Non-Complex Processing Assessment or a BF Date in your GCMS notes?

When did you submit your PR application?
