Also agent told me directly yes there is 2024 ppl got PR, there is no first come first serve
Super unfair
Yes , Exactly . It is unfair. My representative told me that someone who applied in Aug 2023 received P1 yesterday. :( :( I am happy for those who received good news but we have been waiting for long time too .

I called IRCC for my application which stuck in secuirty for 12 months .
I applied march 2023
But they said you can not do anything. nothing can push , you have to wait.
What a terrible state
Security screening is handled by partner agencies, not directly by IRCC officers. IRCC call center agents cannot see detailed progress of security checks.Contact Your Local MP who can sometimes get a more detailed status update. They cannot force approval, but occasionally it triggers movement.

Any news? Anyone that applied on 2023? April 24th application and nothing after eligibility letter on August 2024 here, what's going on really!!!! it's getting extremely frustrating.
What IRCC agent told you is technically true, security screening is handled by external agencies, It’s stuck in background/security review, and IRCC officers themselves often cannot speed it up or intervene once it’s in that stage.
Request your local Member of Parliament direct inquiry to IRCC & get more detailed internal status & flag excessive delays. It doesn’t guarantee speed but it sometimes triggers movement.

One of the main problems with this forum is that someone posts about their situation, a few people see it, and then it disappears. That’s not effective.
Would you be open to creating a Telegram group so we can stay organized and act together regarding these delays? If we’re in one focused group, we can coordinate better, raise our concerns collectively, and explore options like a petition.
If someone is willing to create and manage it, I’m in. I believe being organized will make us much more effective.

I understand the frustration, but I’m not sure creating a Telegram group is the best solution. It might become hard to manage, and not everyone may want to join another platform. Maybe we should try to stay organized within this forum instead. This is my opinion.

We need to take collective action.
Let’s organize a petition, joint email, or open letter. If anyone has guidance from their MP or can consult an immigration lawyer, we should use that advice. Then we send a signed letter to the Minister of Immigration asking for clarity and faster processing. After 34–35 months, many security checks haven’t even started. People are extremely worried. We can’t just wait — taking action is better than doing nothing.

Creating a Telegram group is easy — we can share the link here and everyone can join. It’s private, and no one will have access to others’ personal information.
This way, we can quickly organize and send a joint letter or email to the Minister of Immigration. A coordinated effort like this can make a real difference and help us get answers faster.

Great idea! Yes let us sign petition. They skipped 2023. Let us ask IRCC to work chronologically so the process to be fair for everyone

Hello,
I contacted my MP’s office a few days ago to follow up on my application status. They called me today and informed me that I still have three months remaining. They also mentioned that my security check has not started yet. Additionally, they advised me not to follow up again until August.
For reference, my application was submitted on June 5, 2023.
