i am march 2024 applicant quebec, i know this is for 2023, but i have 2 questions can we travel and come back before getting pr with rtd,

and what are the steps where you hear something from ircc like updates emails, and around when, i only got aor and biometrics and that was it, nothing after, even asked for gc notes in june this year but never got it.

As a matter of fact, you are not permitted to travel to or enter your country of origin. However, you may apply for a Refugee Travel Document (RTD) and use it to apply for visas to visit other countries, excluding your country of origin. Traveling to your country of origin, or attempting to do so, would be interpreted by the Government of Canada as an indication that you no longer require Canada’s protection.

Hi is there any update about final decision in last week? I am waiting my final decision but also bill c12 I am april applicant. Please share with your comment. I want to know they are still giving final decision or they are stopped.

I know ircc is currently working on applications from March 2023, and the ongoing feud about the new ircc tracker stating it will take 8+ years for PR etc.

I had linked my paper pr application to gckey (ircc login). This is what the PR application shows currently, my question is, how accurate is this?

It wasn’t complete on Oct 12 (received my GCMS notes on that date), I haven’t received anything so far.

Its not even started as per the notes, its standard: mine is delayed because of my travel history most probably, or my officer doesn’t touch my file more often, I received pre-arrival and eligibility in June 2025, which is a year late than usual. Kinda disappointed. My GCkey is not even updated - it still shows we are reviewing eligibility. After my enquiries over the phone with representatives when I finished the processing time back in August, they left a note - applicants file is in queue no further actions taken. They dont need anything from my end so far.
