I would love to contact her, but I’m afraid it’s not something we’re usually allowed to do. I’m a March 10th applicant, and I’ve already tried reaching out through the call center and webform—but it was useless. They never contacted the case officer. I’m trying to find a way to move things forward, but there just doesn’t seem to be one.
Yeah but what option we have rather than waiting u almost 31 months doesn’t seems like we r in Que, if we r in Que we would have get PR by now, u see February almost every one got ecopr ive known in forum or group.

You can reach out if you want but it will be pointless and a waste of your time and effort. You will receive the same responses you’ve already received or be told to reach out to IRCC or even MP directly which you’ve already done. 31 months is not a guaranteed processing time. Your processing time is in line with others so there would be nothing for the immigration minister to address. Processing has just gotten longer and will continue getting longer and nothing is going to change that. Would suggest you just wait and you will receive PR in the next few months like other March 2023 applicants. Whether it is in 2025 or 2026 also depends on how close IRCC is to meeting this year’s PR target for protected people, refugees and their dependents. You have been in a long queue for quite a while but are getting close to the front.

There are people waiting for PR from 2021 in Quebec so no you wouldn’t have PR in Quebec at this point. They still have longer processing times.

Those applicants are still within the processing time—PR processing time in Quebec is 45 months. Please don’t compare apples to oranges.

Exactly, what he is saying is only implied when u have process long left or work left on ur life, here is most of the files are done, and 2026 for may people can imply but can’t say to march or april.

If you applied in 2021 you may have also exceeded posted processing times which are not guaranteed. Wasn’t actually the one who brought up Quebec. In general whether in or out of Quebec actual processing times are going up so quickly that posted processing which are backwards looking are out of date when they are posted. Posted times are also were never guaranteed and IRCC compares to other applicants when it determines if your processing is significantly longer than others or action need to be taken. Telling your MP, the minister or IRCC that it has been slightly over 31 months won’t lead to any action because that is what everyone is experiencing.

I get where you’re coming from, but that’s not entirely accurate. Posted processing times aren’t meaningless, they’re based on IRCC’s own data from finalized cases, updated monthly. When someone’s application goes well past that range, it’s not “normal” or “what everyone is facing” it’s outside the department’s own published benchmark.

Also, MPs and the Minister’s office do more than pass messages along. Their inquiries often lead to internal reviews or updates that applicants wouldn’t otherwise get. It’s not about asking for special treatment, it’s about ensuring files don’t sit idle while newer ones move forward.

You seem to discourage people by presenting assumptions as facts, and that doesn’t really help anyone. Sharing half-truths or dismissing valid concerns only adds to the confusion people already face with IRCC’s process.

It’s fine to remind others that waiting is part of the system, but it’s even better to share accurate information and encourage people to hold institutions accountable not just accept delays as fate.

ATTENTION:

Just a quick note for everyone here, it’s important not to take everything one person says as the final word, especially when they’ve already received their PR and have nothing at stake anymore. Some people hang around these forums for years giving opinions that sound official but are really just personal assumptions.

Always double check with official IRCC updates or through your own MP inquiry instead of relying on someone who mixes facts with their own frustration. Many of us are genuinely trying to help each other move forward, not drag others down with negativity or false confidence.

So if someone’s main contribution is telling others what can’t be done, take that for what it is noise, not knowledge. Stay focused, stay informed, and don’t let anyone’s bitterness shape your path.

I just read all the messages today from last couple of weeks on this forum. Some February applicants are still waiting for final decision and I’m one of them. Maybe 5-10 members from February 2023 received PR in this forum. Keep in mind that many applicants are not educated or aware about these forums and applied for PR via agents. Some January 2023 applicants are also waiting. Current processing time is 29 months. But I will suggest to add 6 months extra into it. Since the website also mentions “how long it took for final decision in last 6 months”. I can name few real accounts with accurate information - May545, Sad93, Melsi, PR waiting, Flowercita, Star55, iftikhar0022, Sammi0048, Canadian_rainbow, theclaimer, Himankkohli6. Canuck78 talk facts if someone understand the equation. Hope these account names can help the new forum members on whom to trust. We all are desperate for decisions, but I will suggest you all to travel outside canada if you can before you receive PR. Save the time for citizen process after PR. I have recently travelled and that changed my mental state.

Exactly, finally someone talking with facts instead of recycled guesses. January is basically done, and most February applicants too. That’s what we’ve been saying all along the processing for those months is already wrapped up. So when someone has cleared every stage and is still waiting, it’s not “normal,” it’s just a stuck file that needs attention.

Let’s be real whoever was fully passed in January or February has already received PR. So if March or April files are hanging, that’s where the real issue is. Saying “everyone’s waiting” just isn’t true anymore.

But of course, some people here ( Canuck78) love to talk like they have insider access to IRCC. He’s been on this forum forever, long after getting his own PR, and still finds time to lecture others with half baked “facts.” If only he used that energy for something useful.

Anyway, thanks to members actually sharing timelines and real data you’re the ones helping people, not confusing them. It’s good to see real info cutting through the noise.
