Thanks so much. We’ve been waiting nearly 30 months, so I’m hoping you get yours this week too.
My work permit expires in September 22th applied Pr March 17 2023

Hi , do it inmediately, it´s taking longer time and until you get the ECOPR that´s when you can go and request the change of SIN and dont need the work permit anymore. Renew your work permit online, it is easy and quick. Good luck.
I recommend not waiting until it expires. You won’t lose anything by submitting an extension application.
I applied for PR same date as you, and already applied and got my work permit. Better safe than sorry.
My friend was laid off because her work permit expired. She has applied for a new work permit three months ago and has not received one yet.
When u applied u will get confirmation with that u can work its against government regulations they cant laid off
My friend from QB worked for the goverment and she applied 6 months before the expiration date. Finally, even with the supposed implied status what means you can continue working with only the acknowledgement of reception, well even with that the gov. sent her to lay off. So they dont honor their own rules. It´s better apply with enough time before exp. date. And be aware layoff is short money, so avoid that.
Yes, renew it. It took around 2 months for me this time. (2nd renewal).
The Pilot program don't help much. What they do is collect info of your family members so they start processing their PR inmediately after yours is approved. I Heard a Lot of complaint about the Pilot that is most an ilussion. Not really helpful. If somebody got their PR quickly or treated as urgent those are special cases. Not the rule.
