Can’t they just hire more staff? I wouldn’t mind paying double the application fee if it meant they processed things twice as fast.‍♂️

Maybe. But looks like it’s 29 months because February applicants have heard about their applications in July. And we are still in first of August. Let’s see.
Look at the data trend: January applicants received their decisions in less than 28 months. For February applicants, the first half received decisions at 28.5 months, and the second half at around 29 months. However, March applicants haven’t received anything yet, even though it's now past 29 months. The progression is no longer exponential like before, which is good, but it’s still increasing in a linear pattern.

They have plenty of staff. But They don't work enough at all.

The way government employees specifically IRCC work. Checking one document, then take 15 minute break, go take another look, talk with their colleagues about last weekend party, then time to have lunch, forward the document to another agent as he/she didn't know what they were looking at, they will do the same thing, then finally someone is getting bored and approves it, then it goes to next step. Same cycle repeats again.

There is no other explanation the way they handle processing these applications.

March applicants are still within the 29 months, let us exercise a little patience.

Need help, I am feb 2023 applicant and my PR file is processing under Pilot program. My question is what is this pilot program how they process files under this program, what is difference between normal processing and pilot program. Please guide, thanks

what is Pilot program? how did you know that you are switched to this program ?

Received a letter about pilot program and don’t know anything about this program
I just read about it. see this but i am not sure how accurate it is , '

Speed up PR processing for certain applicants (e.g., Afghan refugees, vulnerable individuals)

  • Test streamlined procedures or new tools for application processing
  • Target specific groups, such as individuals without full documentation or with unique resettlement needs
  • Support faster reunification with family members or provide added services (e.g., trauma-informed processing)
Example:
  • IRCC might launch a pilot project to reduce delays for Protected Persons who applied inland and have already passed security and eligibility, especially if the regular PR stream is backlogged.

Im February 26, 2023 applicant, haven’t received final decision yet, surely there are applicants from February waiting to receive decision. Maximum of 5-10 applicants from this forum have received Decisions so far from February. Surely there are more than this number in general. The processing time shown (29 months) tells the approximate number of months it took in last 6 months to receive final decision. Mine is already over 29.5 months. It gets annoying sometimes how processing time fluctuates. I was hoping to receive the decision within the processing timeframe but here we go. Each time I get closer to finish the time it increases. Now im hoping to receive the decision atleast by the end of this year.

I want to cry each time I check that web

Hi folks,

I applied in May 2023 and I'm still waiting. I know it takes time, but two years is awful, I've seen other applications take less time. I hope your experiences are different.

Well I Heard other person takes less time. But those are rumors. Never confirmed. But what I really watched is here in this forum there are not many people representantive of each months. How many we are? Few jan 23, feb 23? How many march? What if other people who are not in this forum or don't want to share their timeline are having shorter processing times than others. The idea gives me some hope.

By the way I'm from Aug 23. Two years ago...

I am from March 17 2023 still no progress, don’t think they would jump to do fast no way, it’s kill ur time and brain energy relax, they will take around 30 months sure, don’t kill ur time we already wasted, invest in something else. U will get that sure.
