Hello guys,

Me (the sponsor), received the AOR on May 18th, but when I try to apply for my spouse open work permit I see the following on the IRCC website:

• "The AOR must be for your permanent resident application. You can’t use the AOR your sponsor received when they applied to sponsor you."

All I have is an email with an AOR sent to my email, but my spouse which is the principal applicant she never received the AOR/email, nothing!.
Please help, what should I do? is this normal? we were supposed to get the same email with the AOR but I'm the only one who has received it.

Help please.

We got our COPR number updated in our tracker today! Hopefully we will get P1 email soon.

AOR is only sent to the sponsor and not the PA. I used the AOR sent to my sponsor for my work permit application and got approved. So please go ahead and use that.

I had an update this morning in the tracker that says, we received the payment you sent us. I wonder if anybody else also received that update because I received the COPR number in the tracker on Thursday 23rd May.

Should be payment for your biometric fee, that is if you paid it separately. The same happened to me, and I was also asked to provide a receipt.

Nope. All this happened today. I have not heard anything back yet.
