Hey guys!
Don’t freak out after listening to my story. I received ITA in July 2018.
AOR September 2018.
Medical conducted 3 times in last 7 years.
Multiple ADRs and submitted everything IRCC asked for.
I almost forgot that I applied for Canadian PR.
Then one day suddenly I received a phone call from Canadian High Commission, Islamabad, Pakistan that i have an interview scheduled on 9 July 2024. I appeared for the interview and it was a 2 hours long interview.
I am from “military background” and explained everything in detail. The interviewing officer told me while I was leaving the room, “I am very happy that you have been very truthful”.
I asked her that why it took 5 years to conduct an interview. She told me it was due to the backlog. Well i requested her that process my case as soon as possible no matter what the outcome is. Even if you have to refuse, just do it. But do something
Well, after the interview, my Background Check again changed to In Progress on 18th September 2024.
Does anyone have any idea what the fuck is going on here?

If I were you I would've already contacted an immigration lawyer. 8 years is wild really only a lawyer can help you with this.
Now, I received fingerprint request (3rd time overall) today on March 30, 2026. I am getting fed up now and not sure what to expect next

Thanks! I hope it is indeed the last one. This fingerprint request actually came from Digitization & Identity Operations Division (DIOD), about which I haven't heard before. And this one is for Sydney processing centre, previous two requests were for Vancouver centres.
