Still Waiting on the Notes. Its been over 9 weeks now. But 1/2 adults waiting for OCT/NOV AOR got their background completed last week.
I am back in Canada on March 16th submitted fingerprint on March 17 2 days before 30 days written in letter that I have to give fingerprint within 30 days
Now waiting what will happen next

I hope it does. Simply “waiting” hasn’t worked out for us very well. For now it’s the only instrument capable of sending the message to the government, and with over 12000 signatures chances are it won’t get ignored.
Nov 2023 Application and Dec 2023 AOR - no major update since Nov 2024. Background and Prohibitions still in progress since April 2025.
It seems the processing is once again going silent for 2023 applicants. After seeing some movement in August, September, and October, haven’t seen much in the way of updates for November and December 2023 applicants. Additionally, there’s a petition, but it seems to only addresses people stuck in the SS for PR applications and not citizenship applications.
Petition doesn't really guarantee that something will be done, plus it won't be fast.
Petition is open till May 10th 2026. After that it has to be presented by the MP at the House of Commons. Once presented Government has 45 days to respond.
Response can be anything, e.g. standard "Security checks are very important and we can't shorten them because it's a matter of National Security" or it actually can trigger some real action, which I imagine will take some time (at least couple of months) to implement.
