5$ under Access to Information Act, free under Privacy act. There's no reason to go for the paid version if someone is asking for personal information and not general records, and GCMS notes are personal.

I already filed step 1 for mandamus yesterday, my patience were over. Can’t imagine condition after 3 years

No, i am filing my self I have pretty good experience in court
50$ first step
Then
Affidavit notary cost
Some document that notaries cost
May be 200$ for all
Then affidavit that I send DOJ the file
Cost. 50$
Submit full details submission to court
Then waiting there reply
10 days after reply to give statment

Then court date

Overall will cost me hardly 500$
Worth a try

I think you will see updates by the end of the month of mid-February. My AOR is November 1, and today my background was update to completed an then reverted back to in progress. Good luck

I received fingerprints request on January 20. Submitted them on January 21. No updates after that..

It takes almost 10 days, someone I know had submitted 2nd FP on Nov22, 2025 and his background showed completed on Dec2nd. He got his citizenship last week after 28 months.

Finally this journey of citizenship application chase came to an end. It took 883 days from application date to oath date. ughhh...

Yes, it is frustrating! Hope you see some progress on your application with just step 1 and don't need to go to court as I read in the news that the government is asking the court to dismiss hundreds of immigration cases...

This is the first time I'm posting here. My husband and I submitted our application on Jan 3rd, 2023. I was the main applicant and here is how our timelines look like:
Mine:
AOR: Jan 18, 2023
Background: Feb 23, 2023
Test: June 4, 2024 (completed)
Physical Presence & Language: Feb 27, 2025
Prohibition: In progress

My Husband's:
AOR: Jan 18, 2023
Test: Mar 6, 2023 (completed)
Physical Presence & language: Feb 19, 2025
Background: Jan 23, 2026
Prohibition: In progress

Our application started out at the Niagara office and then got transferred to the Vancouver office.

I totally get how frustrating this whole process is. There’s barely any transparency about how things are handled, and it feels like there’s no accountability when timelines aren’t met (at least from what we can tell). Fingers crossed this all wraps up soon for everyone.'

We got an update yesterday and Prohibitions got completed for both of us. Citizenship Ceremony status is "Not Started" yet.
