in the GSMC notes are you application Open/ in progress or its set to "on hold" ?

It says on hold, but when I tried to ask why, no one could tell me.

I tried MP...both before and after the election, but both MP offices couldn't do anything once IRCC said this is non-routine. IMO I call that non-routine a bs, it's just a get out of jail free card for IRCC to not do anything.

And for mandamus, like armoured said, it's a little by chance. I've also posted previously that I talked to a lawyer and she actually talked me out of doing it, even though she would get the most financial benefit out of the situation.

I agree makes no sense. Someone I know just got her citizenship after 5 months today. Very similar profile to me. She was suggesting that people should gather and go to media to expose unreasonable delays.

I submitted my application in Aug 23, received AOR in Sep 23 (Vancouver Office). I have submitted my fingerprints twice, ordered GCMS twice nothing is working, everytime I raise a webform I get the same message that application is under progress and no additional document needed, it's like talking to a effing wall! Crap!

Though my criminality is passed in the GCMS notes but it is not upated on the tracker, stuck in this shit for more than 21 months!

Same situation and timeline. My criminality is passed in GCMS notes too but see nothing about background check in my GCMS notes. On tracker says background and prohibition in progress. No update at all since March 2024. Does Criminality passed means background check is done?

Background is criminality + security.
2023 applicants are stuck in lengthy security checks.
