2018 Quebec Inland Spouse/Common law sponsorship applicants only - timelines

Discussion in 'Family Class Sponsorship' started by basket90, Apr 1, 2019.

  1. OMG
A July applicant is still waiting and no move from QC. God help me!!! I am September applicant and still in BGC and eligibility review. They are super slow comparing to other provinces. What is the reason?
  2. Not sure why it takes so long for Quebec. I've been seeing applications taking 12/13 months. My hypothesis is that Quebec gives them a certain quota of applications to approve and that affects the length of the process somehow. But of course I don't know for sure :/

  3. Hi guys, we got our PR card today, less than 2 weeks after landing. After waiting 13 months for DM, at least the very last step was quick and efficient :)
Thank you all for your constant support, it was really helpful to share the long waiting with so many kind people and we are really grateful for that :) We wish you all the best!
  4. Hi guys, finally I got something new, in ECAS I got DM on PA side, for now no any letter or any messages, only this status update:)
  5. Congrats, this is such amazing news! Thanks for sharing with us.

  7. Hello!
I'm sponsoring my husband. I just noticed PR application status has changed to DM. Does this mean our application has been fully approved? I'm a September applicant from QC.

    Nov 12, CSQ received
    Nov 29, Medical exam request

June 13, DM on Sponsor Status (ecas)
    June 14, AIP letter received
    June 24, SA letter received
July 8, DM on PR status (ecas)

    Thank you!

  8. Yes, it's looking like full approval if you have DM on the PR. Congratulations!

  10. What about your gckey?
  11. gckey hasn't been updated yet:
    reviewing eligibility
    processing background
    application in process
  12. Yes, now you are waiting for a letter confirming your DM (which you might not receive as not everyone gets it) and a letter telling you when and where your landing appointment will be.
  13. You will probably not see any update on gckey until you land. After you do your landing appointment, then your gckey will say approved.

  14. Thank you
  15. I checked my partners Ecas yesterday as well and I have also DM on PA side. But no AIP, DM or Landing letter so far. Any estimation of how long the time span is between DM on Ecas and actual landing for Quebec?

Plus by checking on CGkey I had a ghost update, it said that there was something new but had nothing changed. Still in eligibility, background check.
