My medical expired on 27th june 2019..requested for extension on july 2nd, 2019. Not extended yet. I dont know what’s happening really.

How long it tke fr extension normally?

Similar situation as mine. I got married on May 8th 2019 (local date in Japan, but here in Canada it was May 7th). I sent a message through the web-form a couple of days after in order to notify them about my marriage. Almost 3 months and no answer whatsoever.

did you heard anything?? we can upload spouse documents ..if the cic didn’t request yet ??

Its getting frustrating now. Almost 19 months over. They say they are only waiting on extending my medical. Dont know why its taking so long.

I guess we are all under same visa office. My case is also under sydney, nova scotia. Medical expired 27 june 2019
Requested for extension 2 july 2019
Nothing after that.

you need to apply for permanent resident travel document PRTD. Its a single entry visa.

And can you please tell me where do I apply for that travel document? Will it be from inside Canada?
Also, you said if we enter via US we dont need it. But, if I go to India from US and then back, I guess it will a bit of risk, isn’t it? Just in case, Canadian officials ask about my trip.

PRTD can be applied outside of canada, it takes max a month to get approved.
and if you enter canada from US via road only than you dont need any visa to enter canada.
i dont think canadian border agency will have any problem for your travelling to india from US , just tell them actual reason for your travel and all would be fine.
