Got ready for visa email today.wondering if same as ppr request though ppr is part of email

Ready for visa email it didnt show up on my account I almost didn't read the message thinking it junk but was surprised.

CIC request additional documents April 30 ( my son new passport information)
My time line is
AR Jan 9/ 2018
AOR Feb 16/ 2018
Pre arrival letter June 16/ 2018
MR Feb 14/ 2019
Medical Pass early March
Additional document April 30/2019
Additional doc received May 8/ 2018
Has anyone here asked to send updated passport? Does that mean am close to the end?
