Hi Guys I am engaged to someone who is a PR holder in Toronto, while my MANITOBA PNP nominated PR application has been filed and I am still waiting for my file number. Now, I understand that I can withdraw my PNP PR application and file a new spousal PR based on my spouse, but we are trying to avoid it. My question is : Can I stay in Toronto with my spouse and not work until my PNP application in Winnipeg is approved, while I pay my rent and maintain the address in Winnipeg ? Will this situation affect my PR in any way ?

I don't think that would work. For example, when you have siblings in other provinces for them is fishy and they will ask you many questions. The MPNP is aim to remain in the province. You can move after you get it, but not before. If you want to continue with the application you will have to tell the officer that your wife will move to Winnipeg.

I do agree. If IRCC finds out you are not living there you might face ban from Canada for misrepresentation.

Hi Syali,

Thankyou so much for your reply. Just to mention, Its an inland PR-PNP paper application. we are here in canada since 4 and1/2 years. Is there any other program to extend student visa for my kids as the PR is in process. OR else could we apply BOWP online for the family at once?
