i called again just now, officer said everything is passed and currently my Medical is being reasassed for extention and or remedical. said they started doing that since June 18, 2019. i dont know how long it would take them to finally make a decision as everything is passed already.

honestly it doesnt make any sense to me what is happening right now, my medical will expire July 18, 2019 and everything is passed! can they just give me my PPR instead of wasting time reassesing if i need to do med again considering that its not expired yet

I also passed medical in July. I think they need to extend our results so that we have enough time to do the landing :(

Hi leolea, I remember you because you started this thread and keep up posted about your updates. Waiting 3 months is the same as waiting 1 year to get PPR. And waiting 1 year to get PPR is the same as waiting 1 year and 7 months or more. I understand you are stressful and anxious. My boyfriend got his PR within several months via express entry. And I am Jan 2018 applicant and waited 17 months to get PPR. Eventually, you are going to get PPR and it is just a matter of time. It seems that the earlier to get PPR, the better, however, after you become a PR, it actually does not have huge impacts on your life ( my bf says), because you will continue working ( maybe a different company) or studying or do something else.
While we appreciate the nice words, unfortunately it’s really an individual case for your boyfriend. There are people waiting for many things and the PR is the only obstacle for that. So therefore, the longer the wait, the more painful it is.

I’ll give some examples: new job opportunities, seeking Canadian citizenship, joining Canadian forces, wanting to visit family and girlfriend abroad, wanting to get married, invest, finance house etc list goes on.
We could never imagine that first come first serve, something so common in Canada, wouldn’t apply to CIC.

These people who applied 6 months after us, they will have a chance to become a citizen before Jan applicants are even eligible to. Doesn’t that sound crazy. Half a year ahead of us.

Sorry if I sound bitter, but it’s kinda difficult not to be in this situation.

Hi
I got ADR (CV) 14 th of June- and I got actually 5 days for upload
I called last week to check if they got it, phone guy said they got it but officer didn’t open my file (why he asked to upload with so tight deadline?)
As I understood they are checking my back-home information (and I guess smth goes wrong)
I’m from Russia. Where no one speaks English (if they tried to check my university).
Looks like because of it, I wait soooooo long time (since Jan 2018)
But I am also thinking maybe it is just extra step for masters/PhD?
What education level do you have?

Actually phone guy said criminality is passed (in both countries) but this kind of verification is still going

They gave me 30 days to upload my CV. And yes, I have PhD in Science. But I don’t know, in my case maybe it is for security cause I work as a forensic expert in the police. I think I already pass elegibility and criminality cause I received pre arrival letter. I didn’t call yet. If nothing changes, I will call them
