Hi!
I'm from a visa exempt country (europe)..

Ottawa received my application on april 14
In process on june 4 (ecas updated on oct 9)
medical received (was made upfront)
Csq approval aug 17

I got the batch email about sponsor's proof of residency, etc. on oct 23 .. Sent them the documents on oct. 25

Do I have to wait for PPR or only for COPR? And how long does it take from the batch email to COPR?

Ive emailed CIC already but we received an email saying they cant answer anything about the status and the only thing we can do is wait and be patience because it is still in normal processing time. So I guess there's no update yet.

As a visa exempt individual you will not be asked to send your physical passport, but you may be asked to provide a scan/scans of passport pages.

For questions about how long from batch email to decision made you are best asking in the Ottawa thread as members there will be able to help you more.

Just as an FYI - I'm a March applicant from the U.S., being processed in Ottawa, got the batch email on September 22nd and I'm still waiting for decision made. That said, others in the same batch have been approved and a few after me as well. In general, I'd say 6 weeks at a minimum, and in many cases it's a good 2 months if not a little longer.

Thanks for your info . I was just curious how many weeks to DM, because my medical will expire end of january . Hoping for the best for all of us who is waiting for DM.

Hey everyone, received my COPR today! We leave Thursday and will land in YYZ. It took about 3 weeks from DM to receive the letter. I am so glad this process is done! I am pretty sure I have lost a year off my life these past 11 months of preparing. Best wishes to everyone and I hope you all hear some great news soon!!

We have a similar timeline.. Cic received my application on april 14.. IP june 4 ( ecas updated on oct 9) .. Batch email oct 23.. We are through Ottawa as well.. No news since then.. Hoping to get an update before the holidays..

Haha same here.. Getting addicted to Ecas .. Checking my status several times a day .. I think we have to wait few more weeks.. What ive read from other threads 2 months after getting batch email to DM for US applicants ..By the way where are you from?

We are in London so not sure the pattern on our apps. Fingers and toes crossed for everyone! Haha
