CIC will only give information if it shows it is PAST the date you submitted you application, as per their site. It has nothing to do with the amount of days...

Just be patient. I submitted on April 7, 2015 and could not get any information until June 4 - when the site stated they were working on applications from April 8th

Just curious how many of you are still waiting on SA approval? It looks like times have slowed a bit in the last few weeks. Must be CIC vacation time.

Mine was received on 27th of April as per ECAS. Still nothing...let's hope that we all hear something soon!

I'm calling them now to see if they can tel me anything....

I was lucky when I called the agent gave me the client id and told me I was approved.

Now that they are processing april 29 applications - I'm Calling CIC right now. I'm an April 28th applicant who never even got an AOR. I did login with my uci id and saw that they received my application on apr 28th and started processing on may 19th. No updates since.

For mine Courrier said they received it on April 28th but ECAS says: Application Received on April 27th. Starting processing your application on May 19th. I got AOR on May 20 or 21st forgot when.

When I called, the agent said it's still in process...I will send them an inquiry to see why it hasn't been processed yet.

Let's hope all of us on the spreadsheet showing April 28th hear something this week as it seems they just forgot about this batch of applications hhahahaha

So the agent told me that I was approved as a sponsor on June 22. They had some incorrect email address for me in their records, which is probably why I never got an AOR either. I have just filled in thei case specific email form asking them to correct my email address and to send me a copy of the sponsorship approval on my corrected email.

I'm happy to know that at least with SA, there's a date by which the CIC claims it should be approved (based on where they're currently at in the queue). If only that were the case with the PR part . . .

It still amazes me how many of these notifications slip through the cracks.

A friend of mine is doing the same thing for Australian PR, and everything is done online. You upload your forms and supporting documents, etc., and you apparently can see things as they happen, which is rather swift. 21st century technology? No way! What a concept . . . No lost applications. No missing forms. No question of where your application is. No lack of communication.

My application was received on April 13th. on the website it says, "decision made" for the sponsorship application status. Now the package is sent to Sri Lanka (Visa Office). They have contacted my wife to verify some information, like her DOB, when we got married etc. They have also requested from her copies of the PP's 'alteration observations' page. Which she is sending today.

Also we submitted her medical with the application, so the cic website also read "Medical Received"

Anybody else had to go through this? and Are we progressing well?
