hello guys im new here and i have a question related with the process in order to get my PR
well i am from mexico I applied under h&c and i got AIP so they asked me to get medical security and financial also they asked me for the PR fees and for my passport, all at the same time and i think thats kind of rare because i was reading all the comments here and all of you were asked for the meds , security and then when they received the meds then they asked you for the passport

so the question is do you think thats is normal ,is that good , bad or doesn't matter
the second question is .. approximately how long do you guys think its gonna take to get my passport back w the visa on it. they have everything meds ,financial, fingerprints, passport we paid the PR fees

thanks guys i all appreciate any info
Hi Bobmuska

This thread is for the 2014 FSW Mexico applicants so our process is very different from yours, so most probably the members here won't have any idea about the specifics of your process. If your stream is under the new regulations for Express Entry it is very probable that they ask for all of that information at once since it is my understanding that once you get accepted to you have 60 days to provide all the information and they have only 6 months to finalize your case. You might want to search the forum for a thread specific to your process and there member will know better about the specific steps of your process.

Regards,

Hi mynameispepe, I just want to know if you ended up going to the Embassy in Havana yesterday? Did Mexico VO reply yet?
Hi AG!ez,

I haven't gone to the Embassy yet because in the email they were very specific that I shouldn't go, I'll wait until at least next week to see if they answer the emails I've sent.

BTW last Monday my ECAs was updated, the new line said that on Oct 2nd (last Friday, the day of the PPR and subsequent cancellation email) they sent me correspondence and that I should deliver the required documents ASAP, this is also confusing because according to the email canceling the PPR I should just wait for about a month for instructions. I really don't know what they're doing in MCVO. If they don't answer my emails in the reminder of the week I will to Havana Embassy for information, although they are usually reluctant to give any.

That's more confusing now that they updated your ECAS status. Definitively if you don't get an answer by the end of the week should go the Havana Office and explain your situation, mostly because what if the second email they sent was the erroneous one.

By the way did you applied for GCMS Notes?

Hi all,

An update on my application. Today someone at the Embassy of Canada in Mexico call me to ask for:

"Original of Contrato exclusivo para la obtención y legalización de CERTIFICACIÓN DE ANTECEDENTE PENAL provided by Consultoría Jurídica Internacional."

She told me that they would send an email and they did 5 seconds after I hung up with a formal request letter. Fortunately, I had the contracts for me and my wife at home and delivered them today at the Embassy of Canada here in Havana (they explicitly asked the documents to be delivered here at the embassy). They gave me 30 days to comply.

As an additional note, today at the Embassy, I talked to another guy who was there for the same reason as I, but he did not kept the contracts so he was going to ask what should be done in his case. When I left he was still inside so I couldn't find out what they told him :(

It seems this is a new thing for Cuban applicants so be prepared!!!

WOW, Did they give you the reason why they required this? Did you send original or copies of the antecedentes penales? Did you translate then? With Consultoria Juridica too??

Hi AG1ez,

Sorry for the late response, I was away this weekend.

They did not give me any reason, I think they never do? jeje Also, they did not ask for the "antecedentes penales", they asked for the original of the contract I made with Consultor'ia Jur'idica which states that Consultor'ia will handle the process of getting the "antecedentes penales" for me, which I fortunately had. I delivered the contract without translating them as MX did not request this.

I've heard that at least three more Cubans have been asked for the contract. One of them did not have it and he went to ask at the Embassy in Havana what to do. They told him that he must ask for the "antecedentes penales" again, translate them and send them to MX and then bring the contract to the Embassy

I hope this info helps

On Friday MCVO called asking for the CJI Contracts too, followed by an email. Today we handed over those at Havana VO.

I think they are requesting that to all Cubans.

Let's wait and see what is next for us all.

Hey mynameispepe I was just wondering since Cuban applicants are being requested to hand over the original Contract with Consultoria Juridica Internacional to obtain antecedentes penales. If MCVO called you and requested the same documents from you.

By the way have you gotten any response/explanation from MCVO regarding the erroneous call about PR?

Hi AG1ez, MCVO did indeed contact me requesting the Original Contract with CJI, although this time they did not call, they just sent the email. I delivered the documents at the Embassy today at 8:45am, I wonder if you were there :)

It seems like they are getting creative with Cuban applicants, I better get a copy of my CDR membership ready just in case they ask haha :p

LOL. Probably they will ask for a reference letter from the CDR's president.

Hello guys! :)

Today I received a response from Mexico City Embassy about the missing H in my middle name. They say it is not a mistake, but given that my full name is very long they ran out of space in the visa, they stated that it will not represent any problem at landing but that I have to show my CORP as well.

Then, politely thanked me for keeping my correspondence to a minimum :p

Well I guess thats all at the moment! I hope that the Cubans friends get your PPR very soon!
