Looks like they have started processing Parents application again. Your timing is almost similar to me. I can hope i will hear soon good news.

Hi Moongs! Congrats! Was your visa office London? Our file was transferred to LVO on Nov 8...would be wonderful if they can process it sooner than later. However, I have heard, LVO is the slowest. Not sure how true is it.

Hope someone can help me.

We got an email from the visa office (not via MyCIC).

They asked to send a properly completed new schedule A form for my parents and one brother.

They didn't ask it for the other brother.

But they didn't mention what the issue is with the forms that we submitted 2 months ago.

We don't find any gaps or anything.

We have to send it to them by mail so that it reaches them within 1 week.

What can be the reason? Is it OK if we fill out the forms in the same way as we did before?

Hi Everyone,

I'm a newbie on this forum and would really appreciated if someone could point me in the right direction. I applied for my parent's sponsorship on July of 2011. Below is some of the data related to my application:

Date Applied: July, 2011
Acknowledgement Receipt: February, 2013
Application Processing Started: March, 2016

Sponsorship Application is Approved
File transferred to Ottawa (Aug, 2016).

I was wondering how long will it take from this point on. Is someone in the same boat or around same timeline? Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.

what was observed in past with in 45 to 60 days they were getting Medical request from Ottawa Office, but it is observed its taking much longer

i know couple of folks whose Sponsorship applications was approved in the month of July 2016 and file was transferred to Ottawa and as of today we have not received medical request

i am not sure what is talking place with my file

Yes you are right not Ottawa rather all other offices also. Probably year quota has finished. We probably hear good news in 2017 when the new quota will be available.

don't like to use bad words, but its really frustrating

when people from other batches are getting medical and folks from 2010 and 2011 are waiting fro medical and PCC for past 6 months post sponsorship approval

Hi! That's pretty strange on why they asking same form again... Are you providing with all the address lived since the age of 18? Did they live in any other country before? If so I guess u need to add hose and time frame? Also I think it should match with previous information given earlier too. Make sure what ever category which is not applicable type none... hope this help. Good luck! I know it's been a long wait for you.. why they make it so complicated.

Good news! Recieved medical and pplice clearance request via MYCIC account at 11:32pm today. Luckily my parents are here visiting on tourist visa and brought police clearance certificates with them.
Office is Ottawa
it says we can upload the police clearnace certificate via mycic account in 7 days so by nov 28th2016
I have 2 questions-
*For medicals- can i get their medicals done here in toronto? even if they are from india and visiting me here?
*Minor typo on police clearance ceritificate on addrrss. however name, dob , passport number, passport date kf issue and expire is all correct? would minor typo om address be an issue? its mostly for criminal check no?

experts/experienced folks- please advise

what i understand that your application was transferred to New Delhi around 14th June 2016, so did you get Police Clearance and Medical from New Delhi office?

and did they give you only seven days to submit the PCC, normally it takes 15 days to get PCC in Hyderabad / India, and with out PCC request form they are not processing the PCC at Hyderabad

can you please share your information please

my file was transferred to Ottawa on 14th July 2016 and i am still waiting for the email

it appears that file in India are moving much faster when compared to Ottawa, last few weeks there was another person who got Medical form New Delhi

Congratulation! Yes you can get medical from Canada and doctors will send the medical report directly to CIC.

I believe as someone already mentioned that, quota for Ottawa office had been finished & Christmas holidays on door, I would not expect anything until next year.

Bharucha are you still waiting for medical and PCC request for Ottawa Visa office?

They point i was trying to make is they could have issued request for medical for us, we have been waiting for Six Plus months, once they issue the request its another couple of months process

don't like to use bad words, but they are purposefully dragging their feet, and especially old cases (2010 - 2011) its unfortunate to say that
