a. Approved for Sponsorship

and

b. Transferred to Local Visa Office

Hi everyone, I received passport request for both of my applications, along with request for updated FBI clearances for my parents. I have already requested the updated FBI clearance and I should have them before the 90 days deadline that was given.

If you have received passport request then why would you be asked for new FBI certificate.

You only get passport request when all security and checks have been passed.
If they have requested a new certificate then checks are still underway.

My parents are dual citizens, when I filed the original application they were not in the USA, the FBI Clearances I had submitted were over six months old. It could be the reason why they requested updated FBI Clearances or maybe each visa office works differently. When I received the medical request they were only given a 30 days timeline and it was completed 4 days later (May 24). The letter (email) requested
(1) An original signed passport, (2) Two recent photographs (specification included), (3) Updated FBI police Clearance, (4) Request for Legal size courier envelope/airway bill addressed to the applicant for return of passport and original documents and (5) Complete passport submission form. It's a separate page that has the application number, first name, last name, height and eye colour along with current contact details. All requested information has to be submitted within 90 days (in bold) from date of letter (or email).

50% of the folks listed on ksenya’s list showing Approved have received medical (i.e. 11 out of 21). Green color rows

None of the folks whose application status as process started has moved not next step since past two months. Yellow color rows

folks in Green color and yellow color rows are active on this forum, so data could be current

they did not ask for Police Certificate, what should i do?
