Thanks.I applied in June 2011.I think if you want to change visa office then you need to change your parents address.Because cic always give visa office accordingly address.You should call cic.

I'm new to this site. I sponsored my mother from philippines, filed it in Aug 2011, got a or in Feb 2013, was asked to send more documents in Aug 2015 and got aor in October 2015. Haven't heard from cic since then. I have been checking the status online but it only says application for sponsorship/ permanent residence received Aug 2011 then a or Feb 2013. Don't think they updated it since. Anybody got updates?

Good afternoon everyone, I have a similar timeline to most members on this thread. I haven't posted but I have been following this thread for awhile. I find it strange that fellow members who applied and received acknowledged of receipt on or before a certain person haven't received sponsorship approval as yet. After Moongs and Cgill confirm that they have received their sponsorship approval I will start checking my mailbox since my AOR is after theirs.

My timeline (two separate applications) - (1)Applied May 18 2011 (2) Applied May 18th 2011
(1)AOR Nov 2012 (2) AOR Nov 2012
(1)Ad. doc. req.- Aug 24 2011 (2) Ad. doc req.- Sep 24 2015
(1) AOR Dec 8 2015 (2) AOR Dec 8 2015
(1) In process - Dec 11 2015 (2) No updates

I called CIC with regards to the second application and was told that each application has a different time frame. Good luck to everyone.

Hi All! I finally found the thread where I belong.

Here's my timeline:
2011.04 - sent my application for parent sponsorship
2015.07.27 - doc request
2015.10.25 - sent additional documents
2016.02.15 - received AOR

Please clear my doubts. What happens from this point on? My file goes to LVO (which for me is Warsaw or Moscow) and than the process goes on for another 5-6 years depending on LVO timings?

Next you should see status change to In Process . You can check my details in my signature below. Mine changed to In Process in Dec 2015. I applied in June 2011.

Don't go by those figure. Once file is at LVO should be done in about 1 year

Finally I got letter today,saying Complete application received on 28 Oct 2015 and will be processed based on the date the complete application was received.Can someone predict rough time frame for LVO-Ottawa;just for my planning only.Can approaching MP help expediting.can we lobby with the Minister for faster processing.Please comment.

I think it should be AOR,but they said the application is in processing queue.
