(QSW, Inland App, Ottawa)

AOR : 3rd May 2012,with Meds attached (via Email from CPP - Ottawa)
Ecas Access: 7th may, and it shows: "Application for PR received 28th October 2011"
Meds Done: 8th May
Ecas shows: 23rd May Started Processing
Ecas shows: 7th June "Current Mailing Address" shows up
Ecas shows: 28th June Meds received shows up (Meds received by Office 26th June)
Ecas shows: 26th July "Current Home address" shows up

CAIPS generated 12/7/2012 Arrived 4th August via Email (25 pages)

One thing which doesn't make sense to ME is, the "Lock-in Date" 5th October 2011, which is supposed to be the date my file is being entered in the system at some point, but i sent my PR Application to Buffalo 28th October 2011. So, how does it work? but it doesn't matter, just a thing I've seen.
Lepatissier07 thank you for sharing! Your input here is very valuable because it is based on actual correspondence with Canadian government.
Does anyone know why Lepatissier's application lock in date would be wierd like that?

@ edmontonion

the RCMP screening hasn't really much to do with your fingerprints. they look in there own RCMP database. the fingerprints are for Interpol, more on an international basis.

hope it helps..

Thanks, It means they might not ask for RCMP finger printing or police clearance certificate from Canada.

My GCMS notes were also showing date earlier than my application date and when I searched for it I found that this date correspond to the immigration rules which are applied to my application. (for eg. If someone applied for FSW class and at the time of application the ministerial instruction II are applicable then it will show the date on which the ministerial instruction came into effect.

Hope it will answer your issue!

Right, they might not ask for the fingerprinting. i don't know how they choose, who must, and who must not, on what basis... if you're in a "rush", then you could do it without them asking for it, it saves you at least 1 month...possibly 2 months, and doing it volountarily shows that you have nothing to hide. i did it that way. they might don't need it, who knows, i already had to give 4 police clearances for france, england, germany and new zealand, all clear. and i've spent so far enough money, the last 60$ won't do much harm if it speeds it up.

It's up to you! :)

Aaah good to see old fallow applicants talking again about hopes together. It's a good feeling to not have alone in the struggle :)

Edmontonion, I have seen you waiting for quite some time now, I thought your file was transferred to LA earlier.. wasn't it?

Well, something just tells me that your wait will be over soon and you get an MR..... (just few words of encouragement, rest is on GOD).
Usually, my feelings are known to be true :) :)

You ordered GCMS notes, don't they give you estimated time of completion or something some BFD or some date when you can expect your application process to be over !!

Ottawa doesn't even have processing time on CIC website.. LOL..God knows if it's good or bad !!!

Btw, I have noticed since last few months.. they have been giving MR to people of particular professions like Architects, Physicians, Nurses etc.
I hope Honorable (!!!) Minister is not looking for certain NOC categories after accepting applications from all 29 eligible categories !

Hello nshukla,

Best of luck with your process. I would think it will definitely help to change from FSW1 to FSW2 by adding the job offer to your FSW1 application. I personally do not think it will speed up the process but will definitely strengthen you application looking at recent immigration policies by Mr. Kenney.

I am not sure how to change from FSW1 to FSW2 though. Look around on the forum, I am sure you will find ample resources or discuss with your consultant if you have one..

Hi Guys,

I am also a 2011 Buffalo applicant. Me and my husband applied in August 2011 and have not received any communication regarding the file transfer so we are not sure if our file is being processed in Ottawa or in the US. Is there anyone who has not yet received any communication regarding file transfer? Our timeline is as follows:-

Category..............: FSW1
App. Filed.............: 08/04/2011
AOR Received........:10/26/2011
2nd AOR recieved...:01/06/2012
IELTS Request.......: Submitted with the initial application
File Transfer..........: Waiting
Med's Request.......: Waiting
Med's Done...........: Waiting
Interview..............: Waived hopefully!
Passport Request...: Waiting
VISA ISSUED.........: Waiting
LANDED................: Somewhere in 2012(hopefully!)

We have also applied for our work permits around 5 weeks ago and are waiting for the same to come through. My husband has signed up for a position in Canada and that's why the work permit application. Is it correct that having a work permit/job offer speeds up the PR process?

Hopefully, all of us would get a MR pretty soon!

Thanks,

Hi mshaikh and Zazu,

Thanks for the advice both of you! Strangely, my attorney has advised me against doing the same. He is of the opinion that my husband's job would not add to the speed or the credibility of our application. What would really matter, according to him, is informing CIC once we get our work permits. That would increase our application's speed.

Nonetheless, I would definitely look into this issue after your advice :)

Thanks!

Has anyone seen people from 2011 with no job offer FSW1 applicants receiving any news from Ottawa?

You are welcome Nshukla! I would do both, inform them now about the job offer of your husband and once you get the work permit send them the copy as well. That shows them that you are being proactive in your communication with them and I am sure that will not hurt your case.
