Got GCMS notes today, quickly skimmed through it. It says Secondary review.

Does anyone know how long it takes for secondary review. OR every file is different

I had requested whole file under ATIP and , in the whole Doc , some pages are missing mentioned "Page xx is with held pursuant section 26 of privacy act. Does any one knows what those documents are and why withheld. It is my file and why CIC is hiding MY documents from it?

What other section of GCMS is important, that i need to look for?

Change of Mailing Address to Canada


Has anyone changed the mailing address to Canada for the Principle Applicant, if the Principle Applicant are visiting Canada on a Visa?

Pls share your experience.

My Mother is in Canada on Visa. My mother is principal applicant. I had submitted all requested additional docs after she was here. Docs were submitted by my consultant. I don't know where address needs to changed. My file is in pending review

Hi there how long did you wait for the notes after you requested, is it even worth it???? if some pages are missing??? i been meaning to request but really dont want to waste my time....please advice..is medical done for your mom yet??? i see that you applied in june 2010 same as my file...wonder whats taking so long..my MP is also trying to get some answers but no luck yet few phone calls but same answer same time...very close to make decision?????

My parents medical request came through while they are visiting me in Canada. Can they get the medical done from here or do they need to fly back to get it done?

CIC does not say anything on this - can anyone help.

Medicals can be done from anywhere including Canada even if they are only visiting.

I have ordered the WHOLE FILE (Means all the documents, even what i had submitted in the past). The whole file took long time. I had applied on may 14, 2016, It was supposed to come to me on June 15, 2016, in 30 days. It came to me August 3, 2016.

You can just order electronic notes. Those are helpful just to get know what is happening to your file. At least when you would ordered it , some one would "really" looks "Inside" the file and least what they say is "Will clean a dust from your file". So sad

Please fill up your time line as well. So that other people would better help you and also other people would get help from that time line.

I want to know how you can apply for another SuperVisa from Canada?
Can you send application from Country of Origin? ( cause you cant apply within Canada for a new one )

I have extended Super Visa (Actually extended stay for 2 more years) though my consultant. My consultant asked me for My Job Letter, New insurance policy for one year.

I don't think we can apply for ANOTHER Supervisa from Within Canada.

However i was looking for an answer, as the super visa is normally valid for 10 years, but got only for 2 years because of passport validity. Now I got passport renewed for 10 years, IS it possible to send passport to CIC and get same OLD VISA with validity for 8 years (10-2=8)? May be Original super visa is still sitting in CIC's systems for 10 years, Was just issued for 2 years because of passport validity?

Hello All,

I have question about information i got via GCMS notes

Sponsorship Application is under process. My single parent is in Canada on super visa. I am hoping, the medical for sponsorship application for my parent would be done within Canada.

The issue is,

GCMS notes says, Secondary office is "New Delhi"

So my understanding is, after approval file would be transferred to New-Delhi (India)

Question:

Secondary office should NOT be Ottawa? as my Parent is here in Canada? OR it does not matter? any idea?

Should I need to inform CIC well in advance , about this, so that file should be transferred to Ottawa NOT New-Delhi? Does any one has experience about this?

Update additional family information
update the evidence three children continue meet the definition of depend child

As you don't have time line under your profile, so it may be hard for other to guess and help you out. So i would say please add time line under your user id , then other would be able to help quickly based on your time line.

You can add time line from "Profile" and then "Forum Profile Information"

Hi did you guys see that you can link the application with an CIC account? I have heard that the new applications from 2015 can be linked and it is much more convenient now. However I tried for a few days (since you can only try 5 times a day) and it still complain that it could not find the application.. Is this feature only for the new applications? Thanks

I believe it is available to everyone. I also can see the the following when i logged in to online to check status. But seems it is only for persons you are sponsering

"The person you are sponsoring can receive instant email updates and more detailed, up-to-date case status on their permanent resident application by creating an online account. Find out how."

What does this means??

Unbelievable, you applied in 2007. A 10 years before. Can't believe this. How it can take so long.
