As per timeline shown by forum members Immi visa stamping is usually done within 3 to 4 weeks from the date of receipt by LVO. Wish early stamping & happy Landing in Canada

The eldest of the 3 dependents was 19 then now 24 and working overseas. They did not ask for proof of schooling or support .

Someone please help me. I need some advice.

My in laws are to have their medicals completed on June 24, in Ahmedabad (Apollo hospital) by a doctor listed on CIC website.

The latter i received from CIC does not have an address to send them and it says that the medical doctor will send the results to CIC.

Do my in laws in India need to forward any papers to CIC themselves(they keep asking me that they should) or will the doctors send the results CIC directly.

Once again, my file is in Ottawa and not in New Delhi

I have booked an upfront medical appointment with cic panel doctor for next week for my mother and sister. CIC has not sent us medical request yet. Our file is from Dec 2009, and forwarded to London in Jan 2014. Since then no news. Anyone has done upfront medical and can provide information about what to take and how would cic link the medical with the file etc. Any forms that we need to take with us?

Why are you doing upfront medical?
My parents did upfront medical since they are applying to extend their visitor visa. Although at the time we were hoping to receive the medical request too, so we thought we might as well go for upfront medical.
Then more than a month after the upfront medical, we received MR from LVO. Then we just emailed them and informed about the upfront medical my dad did. They did not even asked for the medical info sheet. They instructed us to disregard the MR.
The medical recirds will be in the data base they can readily look into so I think there's no problem linking the upfront medical since the panel doctor uploads it in the system. Just make sure you keep the medical info sheet the doctor will give you in case the LVO ask for it.

What exactly did cic send you? Is it IMM1017E? Is so, then there's no need for you to send anything to cic with regards to medical. All you need to do is show up in the panel doctor with that form, passport and whatever else the panel doctor instructed you to bring along. Then the panel doctor will directly send the result to cic one the medical is completed.

That's also reason why we decided since we think there might be additional test for my dad since he's over 80. True enough the medical exam lasted over a month, almost 2.

Do what you think is best for your situation. Just keep the medical info sheet the panel doctor will give you. All the best!

Not cic. It was the panel doctor. He asked for additional test as well as referred my dad to a cardiologist who then asked for several test for my dad. The panel doctor said if we don't finish the required test, she will close my dad's medical file.

Well I guess that's just part of the battle, now it's over thankfully!
