I sent package 2 times, 1st I sent package on 29 Sept by UPS courier but they made lost my doc. Then I sent my all copy doc and include letter about lost my package again on 14 Oct by Canada post and CIC received on 16 Oct. So until now I didn't received any letter from CIC. I am very anxious and sad.

Hello, I sent documents to CPC-Mississauga in September 2014 and I received acknowledgement from CPC-M stating that they have received all the documents and our file is complete and it is in queue. I received the letter in December. so assuming for you it will be somewhere in January and Christmas vacation give or take add two more weeks.

My timeline (for sponsoring parents)
Applied to CPC-M : May 2010
Received letter from CPC-M To send all documents including forms (IMM0008, etc) and landing fee: Aug-2014
Sent all forms (IMM00008, etc) : Sept 2014
Received letter from CPC-M says that they have received all completed forms and our file is complete and in the queue: December 2014


So my application is still in Step-1.

It is still in step 1.You will now first be approved as sponsor and then your file is forwarded to the local visa office(step 2). Which date in Sept did you submit your documents. A couple of people who sent their documents in August have already been approved as sponsors.

According to the letter, it says they received all documents on Sept 10. So assuming another month time then? Well I have chosen New Delhi, India for Step-2 processing and not local office.

the date on AOR is 26 Nov, but I received in December with normal (regular) post.

I am so confused with the data CIC has provided on their website and what the minister says.... They are boasting continuously about cutting the backlog in half .... My question is if so, why we are not seeing any results..... Applied in oct 2010 file is still being reviewed in STEP ONE .... So thats a good 4+ years.... Till it will be approved and sent to local visa office ... Where to processing timeline is another 66 months!!! If we combine both steps its easily 10 years......so howwwww they have cut the wait times and backlog...... ??? So frustrated someone plz explain this to me

After AOR if you dont have any dependent they will send you application to Ottawa, which the process time is super fast and there is no waiting.
I submitted 2 applications in March 2010 (My parents and in-laws). my in-law's application sent to Ottawa (no dependent) and they already got their visa.
But My parents application (one dependent) sent to the local office in Ankara March 2014 and I didn't here anything from them yet.
