Hello Sheena, though i m 2010 but if August 2009 ur 2nd AoR date, then it is quite sometime for you. Damascus is 18 months & your 18 months expired in Feb 2011 & i am sure in Feb 2011 the processing time was even less than 18 months.

Have u sent a case specific enquiry to ur VO, if not then i must suggest you to do it immediately.

i sent an enquiry to them on last septmber2010,and in the reply they told me to be patient,my consultant told me that frequent enquirys may delay your application.is that true?any way i decided to sent an enquiry again in this september lets see what will happen......

Sheena, you have just sent a single enquiry in Sept 2010 after more than 1 year of receiving your 2nd AoR (Aug 2009). No doubt that frequent enquries have a negative impact but enquiry after 1 year is not frequent.

Now as you are going to make an enquiry in Sept 2011 (i.e. after more than 2 years of your 2nd AoR) & processing time of 18 months has already past, I am sure there is no harm in knowing the status of your application.

Still you may abide by the advice of your consultant & you can request CAIPS for knowing the details of your application.

how can i apply for caips.i dont know that.how much time it will take to get a reply after caips

Dear Sheena, Paste the below link in your address bar for details on how to apply & get them.

There is certain fee that you have to pay for CAIPS Minimum $ 40 & if you have some known person in Canada then it will be quick & less expensive i.e. $5 only.

CAIPS will just give you the status of your application & will in no way confirm when you will get a response from your Visa Office.

As i mentioned before that CAIPS in no way impact on processing of your application. Fetching information through CAIPS will not speed-up or delay your application. So no link at all with Interviews / medicals etc. :)

we are in the same boat right now.can you just tell me what your e case shows .is it showing we started processing of your application or so?.did you applied for a caips note or not? or an enuiry to them?
