I think I am seeing 2008 applicants at Buffalo visa office are getting ppr these previous days/ weeks , I guess it is to clear the applicants under the previous occupation list and allow new applications under the new list to come in so they meet the new market need in Canada? What do you think guys?

Have you sent them any inquiring emails ordered CAIPS?
Hopefully your background checks is over, then you are sure to get it soon.

Thanks You for the words of encouragements. I have emailed Buffalo, and received a generic response that my case is "in process". Also, i mailed them a letter and waiting for a response. Also, it is my understanding that once they send you a medical request; they are done with the background checks.

I do not think that is the case. I am done with my medical April 2009, and still waiting for the ppr. I emailed them twice but each time they tell reply that they are waiting for the results of the background check.
I do not know for sure what is going on, but I am sure each case is unique, even when it comes to background check for each file.

I am just hoping we all will be through soon, very soon.
