2006 DAMASCUS APPLICANTS

Firstt let me thank all my dear friends who have given me perfect information.

I have a very important question regarding reprsentative. I had a representative who called me last year telling me that his permit had expired, so asked me to be in contact with damascus directly myself. I sent a mail to visa office in damascus and gave them my phone number, mailing and email addresses. a few days later a lady from damascus office called me and asked me not to contact my representative anymore very seriously.
Now I am not sure if I have to fill out the representative form or not or filling the cancelation part of it. I mixed up, please help me in this case

as you received your update letter directly to your e-mail this means that your representative was already cancelled upon your cantact to the embassy last time

moreover,you can verify if the representative were cancelled or not, by checking the address which appears on the online status of your application

if your phone and mailing address are there this means the you have no representative

so no need to send any paper regarding representatives

Thank you so much for your immidiate reply. Yes I checked it, my address is available on the cic site. a few weeks after sending mail they changed it to my own address

Damascus is currently actively processing applications received before the below noted dates. If you submitted your application in one of these categories after the noted date, please be advised that the processing of your application has not started. Applications submitted in other categories (Family Class, Refugee, etc.) are currently within processing standards.


Federal Skilled Workers (submitted before 27 February 2008): September 2006
Federal Skilled Workder (submitted on or after 27 February 2008): February 2009
Federal Investors: October 2007
Federal Entrepreneurs/Self Employed: August 2004
Quebec Skilled Workers/Entrepreneurs/Investors/Self-Employed: August 2009


I wonder what the federal self employed applicants like me should do, since the dates remained the same. Are we on hold? we're people too. ANyone has any ideas why we're still stuck in 2004?

As you can see my timeline still doesn't fall into the category that they are currently processing, i guess we still need to wait at least 8 months before we expect medicals.

So what's up guys, listen, some of us already sent the documents, and some are about to send them, so let's discuss a little bit the expectations of when they might send the medicals after updating them:

For old applicants, 2005 batch (Damascus), the average period was around 5 to 8 months.
For new applicants, it was around 1 to 3 months
For us (2006), since there is what they call the CAP now, and also their measures and efforts in order to finish the backlog, what do you think?
